When Selena Gomez canceled two of her concerts last week due to a "family emergency," fans knew something was seriously wrong. It was later revealed that Selena's mom Mandy had suffered a miscarriage just weeks after Selena happily announced that she would soon be a big sister.

Family, friends, and fans alike rushed to Selena's side and reached out with messages of sympathy and support. Now Selena is speaking out for the first time about the tragedy. She took to her Facebook to thank everyone for being there for her and her family and revealed her "guardian angel" was to be named Scarlett:

New Album Promoshoot - Selena!

Selena just tweeted some really exciting news! She finished shooting her new album "A year without Rain" artwork which means it should be out soon! This is so exciting. I 'm sure its going to be amazing and I've already started to imagine how its gonna look like! What do you think it will be like?!

Dream Out Loud Behind the Scenes!

Hey Everyone-- Some important dates coming up...... less than two weeks away from the World premiere of my new music video "Round and Round" on Disney Channel. Less than two months away from the launch of my new clothing line Dream Out Loud in K-Mart August 1st. I hope everyone is doing well, Monte Carlo is coming along great and Budapest is gorgeous. My 7 year old Autistic daughter performing in the Elementary Talent Show. At the age of 4 she was non-verbal, and now she is singing infront of her entire school! I am so blessed to call her my daughter, I hope she will inspire others the way she has inspired me & my family! To everyone watching this I hope..
..you can truly appreciate how much strength it takes for a child overcoming a disability to put themselves out like this (please no nasty comments), and to parents who have children with Autism or any other special need, I hope this will give you strength and hope for your childs future! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens Me (Phil 4:13).

Hello From Budapest!

Selena posted a new note/blog in her facebook just to say hi and keep us updated from Budapest. She's currently filming "Monte Carlo" and they started filming yesterday. She also talked about her website (www.selenagomez.com), dream out loud and that she will be back to the US on July for the premiere and promotion of Ramona and Beezus. Hey Everyone--
I just wanted to send you all an update from Budapest. I finally started filming yesterday for Monte Carlo the past two to three weeks have been learning how to play polo and getting my British accent just right. The cast is amazing and I am so ready to get this project started. Budapest is absolutely gorgeous and the people here are very friendly. I do miss home a lot though and will be ready to get back to America when the project is over, I feel like I have been gone forever.
I have also been working on my second album every weekend and should have it to you guys before the year ends, I cannot wait for you guys to here this album. I think we might be doing a couple more concerts here in Europe while I am still out here but, nothing has been confirmed yet I will let you guys know as soon as I know for sure. I have been getting updates about how the record has been doing overseas and I guess things have been successful so I just wanted to Thank You all so much for supporting the album, I hope to come play some songs for you soon.

Hey Guys! I just thought I would touch base with you to let you know how my
musical journey has been going. I have had one of the greatest challenges of my
life. I love every bit of it. I realize this is not my element. There will
always be people who doubt you. But, I also realize I have tons of support from
my fans. I thank you for that. This is something I thought long and hard about.
I know I will regret NOT doing this. I am giving it a shot. I am filming my
journey through this so you can see how hard I am working to do my best. If you
like what the end product.. ..sounds like great, see you at my shows and I hope
you have a blast listening to my album. If you don't well, I can't please
everyone, no one can! What I hope my fans learn from my journey is that you
should not ever let anyone bring you down or stop you from trying something you
want to do. You will be the one who will live with regret not them. I am going
through change, growth and failure just like everyone else except my is open for
public scrutiny. Not everything you try in life is a major success. I will be in
an intense boot camp when I return to LA in music. I have taken my time to find
my sound, I have worked hard and about to work even harder. Anybody who tries to bring me down only inspires me. I think that goes for a lot of people in the
public eye.I have been blessed to work with some amazing people. Even though I
love my fans and work hard for them some things I do for myself as well. As an
artist you don't grow unless you try and challenge yourself. Even some of the
greatest actors and singers still train. Life is about growing not about
settling. I get back to LA soon and when I am closer to my album release (which
is tentatively scheduled for Sept) I will release my web series 'Under Pressure'
to let you take this journey with me. I will struggle at some things and you
will see that. I will succeed at things that you will see that. I would like to
thank the people that are willing to give me this chance and all the support I
have received. I will never be able to express how much that has meant to me. I
look forward to sharing a very venerable time in my life! God Bless!

Sel BLOG UPDATE: March 7, 2009 - Saturday I'm spending the day with puppies.. Current mood: blessed I'm honored to be the new ambassador for DoSomething.org! The last time I was in PR shooting Princess Protection Program we noticed all of these stray dogs and puppies. We ended up finding out that Puerto Rico has a 'dead dog beach' its sounds worse than it is but people actually kill dogs for fun here.. This time around im teaming up with DoSomething.org and my mom, Brian, David, Jake, David D are all going to help out today along with some of my crew from set! We are spending the day feeding puppies, washing them and hanging out with them. After we spend the day with them we are sending these dogs to different places in the U.S the no-kill dog shelters so they can find a home.. wanted to share that with you guys and let you know where ill be for the day :) visit DoSomething.org to check it out!
