Selena is gracing the cover of the August issue of Elle (Mexico) magazine looking absolutely stunning in a new photoshoot. We can not wait to see more photos from this shoot and please don’t hesitate to donate the scans if you have this issue.

Selena was presented with a gold plaque for her album “A Year Without Rain” after selling over 500,000 in the US. The album has sold 644,428 thus far. Check out the photos below

Yesterday, bachatero Prince Royce admitted to us that he has a crush on the “beautiful” Selena Gomez, so when we caught up with Selena near Central Park in New York City today (she was in town promoting her summer movie, Monte Carlo, in theaters this July) — we just had to ask Mrs. Bieber what she thought of the
sweet Dominican Prince and how he’s smitten with her.“You know what?” Selena
said quickly. “Can you tell him that I had his email and my email got hacked, so
I had to change my email?” said Selena. “I feel really bad that I don’t have his
email anymore, so please tell him that I’m sorry and that I think he’s really
cute too!” she said.

Selena talked to Latina Magazine about needing to learn spanish! I hope she gets to learn it soon!

It’s only August, but Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez already knows what she wants for Christmas.
"I really want to get Rosetta Stone, because I really need to learn my language," the 18-year-old dished to Latina.com while she was in New York City promoting her new film Ramona & Beezus. Gomez—who is Italian on her mother's side and Mexican on her father's side—loves her fellow Latinos, but admits she occasionally experiences
trepidation at Latin awards shows because she’s not entirely confident in her language skills.
"I practice [Spanish], but I can understand it better than I can speak it,” explains Selena. “So in a lot of my interviews that I did recently, they would speak to me in Spanish and I would answer back in English. They were like, 'You pick it up so easily,' but I don’t want to say it in Spanish because I’d be embarrassed if I mess something up."
Like Jessica Alba, and other A-list Latinas before her, Gomez says she doesn’t think you have to speak Spanish fluently to be a "real" Latina. "At first I did," she admits, "but then I started to see all these people that accepted me regardless of the fact that I didn’t speak it."

Selena, "I want to be know for my work"

Selena 's DailyMail interview. ‘Although I love my music, I definitely [a favourite word] want to be challenged as an actress, I want to do intense roles that will put me in a whole different place. I’m trying to make the transition into grown-up films, so I’m taking baby steps into more adult roles by moving from family to teen movies, and I’m very honored and excited to be working with Nicole.’
On her sexual purity ring: ‘Rather not talk about my purity ring because I never want to put any pressure on my fans, the ring is not important for anyone else but myself’. But my ideal would be to not be known for who I’m dating, because eventually that’s all you will be known for.
It’s hard, because people are curious about who’s in my life, but I want to be known for my work. And I never want to view myself as any different or any better than anyone else. If I wanna go eat at a little restaurant that isn’t fancy, I’ll do it. If I wanna go without make-up and not care what I look like, I will.
The problem for tweens and teens is that a lot of them want to appease other people. I remember how I used to dress a specific way for one boy, with my shirt tucked in, very formal, because I wanted to appease him. And boys are the one thing on every girl’s mind.’

Selena's new clothing line "Dream Out Loud" is featured on the cover of the new issue of WWD Woman's Wear Daily. Apparently it has some new photos of Selena modeling some of her designs.
